Can't draw them,
don't want to write them,
afraid of them!
Scared they might infect me,
cause my soul to reject me.
The soul smiles deep down,
then at times it has a frown.
Running from the sadness,
sadness causes madness.

Face muscles in fixed position,
freeze my smile in connection.
Break up my frown,
drop it on the ground,
under my feet crushed,
no longer am I stressed.

As the sunsets in the sky,
I chase it over the horizon,
following it in retreat.
Come back sunrise,
continue to brightened my day,
chase my blues away.
