Do
Pets Understand Holidays?
If to Rufuz I give a bone, ball or toy,
He understands that he is a good boy,
He plays with it and me,
He knows it belongs to him,
Given to him on a whim.
But when holidays come,
Does he know the gift is special?
Brought to him by Santa or his Mom,
Do we know for sure that he can understand?
That the gift he got, is because of the season?
I know these queries are not necessary to national defense,
Or to discover their answers will not bring on instant sense,
But I would just like to know,
If Rufuz really cares & hence…
If I need to go out and spend a lot of cents?
