Walk Me to Midnight

The perfect crime. No prints, no CSI, no trace. Dr. Death is about helping people commit suicide, isn't he? What if someone doesn't buy it?..

Promises

Promises broken, promises kept, promises spoken...never forget...

Power of a promise- words suspended like

icicles, glistening rainbow orbs projecting

artic visions, entombed forever in crystal

flutes, simultaneously sipping nectar

nuturing eternal trust between two beings...

           ~                       ~                    ~

Validity of a promise- reaching deep into the

pit of a scarred temple, weeping acid tears

upon tainted pillows brushed with sincere

intentions, lonely are the words locked in

eternal vaults, banished from worldly light...

       ~                         ~                       ~

Betrayal of a promise- shattered morsels

carelessly strewn throughout a kingdom,

an ancient ceremony thriving, relegating

mortal desires awaiting a frenzied destiny,

loyal in subservient bondage, never freed...

      ~                         ~                        ~

A lone teardrop

             A promise broken

                                A promise kept

                                                   Never forget ~

Filled with hope and beauty. I think people take for granted what promises are nowaday and that's sad. Profound piece.

And, the Lord knew He was the only one who keeps promises: so, He told us to say, "Lord willing, I will do this or that." Beautifully written, Zenith, and so true. ~~Bonnie Q

Hard to make, even harder to keep. But some always do keep their promises, and those we call friends. Good write.
