a sigh to love

o what feeling of sweetness,
rush inevitably within,
and surrounding the core of my emptiness,
filling me with such wondrous hope;
and love, o love,
how you make me run the wilderness,
without any thought of my nakedness,
bringing a soulful smile to my aging face,
and a warm embrace in this cold.
i sigh endlessly to your sleepy eyes;
your hands, your voice, that smell
of rich cotton fields and vanilla cakes,
makes me feel truly one of a kind;
i am the lucky one that found you, o love,
love despite the consequences.
will you not let me out of your hands?
let me linger still among your fingers;
gently, let me lay here.
love, keep me only this high, i plead;
so i can see the world pass by,
yes, i can see the world pass both of us
so in love by.
