A deeply moving poetry reading for you
My Ode to Beaches
The sun sets on the water ever so nice
As a man sits, selling hot dogs and shaved ice.
Lots of good looking people seem to have lots of class,
As they pick sandy wedgies out of their ass.
Floating through orbit, nice and slow,
But what do you do when you gotta go?
Do you open the window to the shining stars
And plant a new moon right next to Mars?
Sizzle, pop, on the grill they go.
McDonald's always puts on such a good show,
But don't eat the meat if it looks kind of red.
It's probably been spit on by a guy named Fred.
Sails that flap and turn in the wind.
"Coming around"-You better bend.
It's nice to feel the wind in your face
Before turning and heading back to base.
Woops, the boat tilts and you're in the seas
And before you know it, your trunks are around your kneees.
Oh gaw! What a beaut!
This one would really bag me some loot.
See how the skin shines under that tag?
Boy, he'll make a nice carrying bag.
The children, all scrubbed, have been placed in their seats.
The people have all been checked down to their feet.
The stewards have had their time with bad jokes.
Now, let's just hope that nobody chokes.
