Dream to Dare

As guns go off, it sounds as if I'm in the middle of Iraq.
I shiver with anxiety, listening, before I mentally pack
And head off to thoughts of resolutions new:
Thoughts of change and what I need to do.
How can I be a better mother?
How can I be a better lover?
I don't mean a lover in a sexual way,
But showing kindness to all each and every day.
How can I move towards my goals set high?
I've got so much to accomplish before I die.
How can I make a difference in the world around me?
How I can I create great things for people to see?
How can I hold the hand of those unknown
And leave behind only good seeds sown?
Jesus said, "Love one another."
He meant all, not only your brother.
I want to inspires others to take up this mission.
How loud do we yell to have them listen?
Or do we do our good in silence blessed,
and show love to others unconfessed,
Hoping that the quiet actions that we put forth
Will inspire others to do the same and find their worth?
