We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.  ~Oscar Wilde, Lady Windermere's Fan, 1893

GROPING FOR THE CHALKLINE

Huh?

Many of the plans, I've cultivated
Now sleep because I've hesitated
I've got them lined up in a row
Behind chalklines they've overgrown

Hmmm?

If I could take an inventory
Of mysteries, glories, and sob stories
I'd LIKE to say, THAT wasn't me
Who chose to live in quarantine

Ohhhhhhhh!

Suspended in a haze of days
In clumps and bumps that I've pureed
And filtered thru my memories
These plans still pull and call to me

Oh NO!!

I didn't know that I was deaf!
And dumb and blind, and so oppressed!
Yet my soul and heart still feel
And grope to find out what is real.....

BUMP!

OUCH!!!!!!!!!

AH HA!!!

There it is!!!

Right where I left it!!!

I prefer Oscar Wilde's quote. Very astute of you to post it. Interesting form this epistle took. It kept me reading clear through to the end, which is unusual with a lot of stuff I'm seeing lately.
