i awoke this morning
to gray clouds
and mourning
to calm winds
and memories
of what had come to it's end

the last of the new year
the passing of the old tear
a story that's been told
rembering a memory that's
grown old

what was this feeling
what was this dealing
what was this thought
this memory
what was it that be
in my heart
in my head
what was it that was dead

a haunting
a ghost
a host
that turns me around
a sound
a whisper
the wind in my mind

a memory
i can't find

something old
something new
something told
something true

was it love
was it hate
was it too late

what is this feeling
what is this dealing
what is this Real-ing
there in my soul

is it words
is it phrases
is it daffodiles & daiseys

flowers in the winter
blooming as i enter

a new year
a new day
a tear
cried along the way

what is tomorrow
where was yesterday
what words of sorrow
what words that play
what memories that stay

if yesterday
were tomorrow
if today
lasted forevere & a day
what would i say
what would i pray
about the sorrow
in my heart
deep in that part
of where i used ta' be
could i see

what part
would yesterday
and tomorrow
in today

gray skies
passin' byes
wonderin' why's
wanderin' try's
with all there lies

lyin' in the path
lie-in in the past
old days
old ways
upon my mind
not too kind
i find...

yesterdays & todays

gone aways

it's so wonderful how your swirling thoughts just pour out onto the paper so magically

the way i read it, the rhythm is like some of my stuff
i like it

Old year gone, new year here. Collect the memories, gather new plans.
Excellent capture of the season.
Best regards,
