Intention for More...

Would have liked to give more for Christmas but...

Intention for More…

Christmas this year was quite light,

Money matters being the reason for this blight,

Want to give and give,

To my honey, but had to be slight.

Seems I can barely exist or stay afloat,

Fortunately I don’t live on a boat,

As staying afloat would be of prime importance,

But I guess it’s better than feeling the bloat.

She asked what I wanted,

Couldn’t tell her,

As I truly need so little,

I have plenty of coats,

So warm I will be,

But her hugs and kisses,

Could be more forthcoming,

As I can never get too many of those.

I personally received nothing,

Other than from a good friend, a check,

And payment from another for this my favorite site,

So what the heck,

Christmas is for giving anyway,

Or so “they” say,

And that is all for this poem today…
