At least once a day I see this....I contemplate this....

Amidst the stars and cosmic dust I look down upon the world in her orb-like splendor with swirls of white and blue and green.
Serenity is a guise to the turmoil this globe holds.
But from here it is peaceful and there is no distinguishing race, political stance or financial freedoms.
From here I can reach out and touch the surface with the tip of my fingers and the surface gently sways like that of the waters’ edge.
Circles radiate outward and grow larger and larger till there is no evidence of my touch ...or is there?
From here, in the darkness the Earth lights up my vision and attracts me like the moth to the light...yet the dark is a blanket I will not part with.
I reach out again and I can break the waters’ surface… reach all the way through to the core where I feel the vibrancy and energy that keeps this living sphere alive...
It vibrates and pulses with life which is fed to every off shoot...those things within the water we cannot see without technology...the swimming creatures that feed us...the ones that frighten us.
The energy transcends the water and the soil's inhabitants to the ground's surface where humans meander.
Here the energy is distorted...doesn't flow quite right...is horded by some...drained from others.
And yet...enough escapes the ground's surface to rise into the air where the winged one soars and ignores the turmoil below...partakes in the serenity I am fooled by.
The winged one flies within the realm of peacefulness, breaking into the realm of chaos every now and then...to survive.

I do not envy the winged one.

Here, amidst the stars and cosmic dust, I am larger than the Earth.
I wrap about Her and cradle the fragile sphere ...to calm the violent shakes that misery brings.
Leaning my head backward I can see light streaming towards me from every point in the universe.
It reaches me and with the slightest tingle I can see the circles form on my skin's surface and ripple outward till there is nothing... no evidence of the light’s touch...or is there?
I hold tight to this Earth...my touch is needed.
My nurturing is needed.
From here She is one living organism with many living extensions...and…
She is beautiful.
