Enigmas bleed behind the scenes of the
written words of chosen need. Enigmas
bleed. Words supersede entangled deeds with
a desperate penning relieving stigmas

of a selfish breed of keenness perceived.
We recede and deceive when we believe
we won’t succeed, writhing we bleed and plead
and swear to exceed a loftier weave

of word choices. A poet bleeds human
need, dealing with feelings that twist and breed
into enigmas we believe will span
the width we feel will free consumptive creed.

Indeed! Write, relieve, we bleed to conceive;
words of choice receive the seed to achieve!

No enigma here Erin, this is excellent.
"Indeed! Write, relieve, we bleed to conceive;

I like the way you say it all..It is so difficult to write a topical sonnet..you did it so well..

At the beginning, I believe we like to write. But it does become the need to delve into the enigma, and express it -- I know that need. Well penned, Erin.
