Milk Duds

I ate them undercover

when the dark blanketed

the movie theatre

and I sank

into my seat

my heavy, ungainly body

hidden

with the audience of mid-week

trench coated men

the odd deranged housewife

muttering to the

impassive kernels of her popcorn

I let the sweet

dark droplets

descend down my

tightened throat

pleasuring myself

under a wide encompassing screen

letting

this

B-Movie

scream

and scream.

Doug, excellent write. When I was a kid it was juju beads that were the craze. ( I don't even know if I spelt that right )

I love milk duds. But more than the candies I loved as a child to sit in the darkness of the movies every Saturday afternoon and just smell the popcorn and thrill of those B movies. Good write. Lisa
