Freedom sees only what it wants to see. (Special thanks to Clay Bennett for his visual political inspirations.)

(1) long before time a celestial trio of mighty Architects (Wisdom, Light and Salvation) cradled True Mother in their palms stroking the cheeks where her tear traced a furrow of grief, they decided True Mother's faces should not be hidden from the heavens, so they snapped their fingers to the rhythm of Her heart beat. . .and the sunlight began to glow. And it was so. . . (2) but now Darkness became enraged for his legions had no place to tarry after having blackened Mother's face. Therefore The Architects set a silver mirror on the edge of the sky, balanced atop Darkness' pedestal for a surety that the sunlight would always be shining on the face of that mirror, She Earth and He Sky knew equality in naked beauty, they made love and begat the nature of reddish-brown clay that True Mother offered as a sacrifice to the Architects, and They kissed it, fired molded it, and fired it in the kilns of creation and out of the kiln leaped two of the finest vessels ever crafted people of color'd clay. . . And the SunLight began to glow. . . (3) the clay man’s rib, the one with the richest of minerals, resembled the Matriarch of all humanity and the clay woman knew love of the strongest sixth sense and the woman gave permission to be penetrated with flowing seed of man, and the appointed time she parted her knees squatted down in the cool of the night among the baobabs, and moaned for the sake of all living creatures, and out from between her sculptured thighs came freedom because of the nature of Darkness, Freedom stole the life of his own brother who knew nothing but peace and kindness and as the centuries faded, Freedom felt there was power in Darkness, and became the puppet of stereo-typed thinking and became the godchild of jealousy, injustice, hate and greed. But on account of blatant disobedience, FREEdom was cast away, and all that was left was innocent blood that True Mother wiped with her apron of Hope as her tears of mercy soaked the now colorless white ground. . .and the sunlight glowed, And it was so. . . (4) the Architects realized that if freedom were to remember the origins of The Beginning, chosen ones must be given a vision to teach those in submission how to fight, even die to keep it, the Chosen Ones had to be pure of heart and preach a path that was simple to follow; it had to be a path unencumbered by jealousy, injustice, hate and greed. They must learn obedience lest they would be lured to paths of eternal destruction. And the innocents agreed to become the sacrifice if freedom were ever to be restored . . . And the SunLight kept on glowing. . . (5) the battle grew hotter and of the innocents not lost, they used every particle of righteousness to Reconstruct Freedom, even in the face of bloodshed, denial, compromises and lies. and for some of the people, the fear of loss overpowered their desire to be free, rights to privacy vanished to the level where security became vestigial, and no one knew what it meant to be Free any more the only food was a strange fruit dangling from trees whose branches looked like nooses, and the fruit was red, black, and green the trunk was wrapped tight with a twisted kudzu whose foliage choked generation sand all that was needed was A vision for freedom. . .and the sunlight began to gleam for the power of THE DREAM . . . (6) the nature of these dreams was amazing; the clay people would never allow it to be mutilated, because the Chosen Ones had succeeded in planting the Seed of HOPE, in much the same manner as the original clay woman. . . and a Plan was born--a plan written on the hearts of the bold yet perhaps not so beautiful, a plan that demanded bravery in spite of jealousy, injustice, hate and greed; a plan that gave tired old women strength to stand up by refusing to sit in the back of a bus paid for by the dollars that were taxed from her, but did not represent her best interests, a plan that in the face of the mirror in the night reflected decade upon decade of malevolence in the form of color'd only water fountains color'd only restrooms color'd only neighborhoods, color'd only theatre balconies color'd only military units color'd only school houses color'd only churches and color'd only marriages for the greatness swelling in the spirits would not lay down and die without a fight. . . forward the people chose to go. . . .at night in chants unknown to their captors, they cried out, FREEDOM and the fullness of sun and moon covered one another… shining down a strange glow; (7) the clay people realized that FREEDOM was tired of escaping in the night tired of being pushed around and beaten by jailers bitten by hellish dogs on the lease of hellish justice, FREEDOM no longer bemoaned the stereotypes of Walter Winchell with Vaudeville putdowns suffered by pioneers of black entertainment in the form of Blackface Steppin Fetchit Amos and Andy and Lil’ Black Sambo. FREEDOM got tired of being putdown as the slant-eyed Chinaman who did nothing but eat rice and do the laundry of the Asian oppressor. FREEDOM was tired of being seen as a taco-eating womanizing wet-backed Mexican thief selling oranges at the exit ramp of the Ventura Freeway. FREEDOM was tired of being the victim of incest suffering physical and mental torment at the hands of those whose blood ran thru her veins in foreign names. (And last but certainly NOT least) FREEDOM! was extremely tired of the Lone Ranger takin’ all the credit for educating the so called savage who was savagely killed for a handful of beads.. . . and do you want to know what Freedom did about it? FREEDOM!! collected her thoughts, turned her eyes to the heavens, prayed for strength against the enemies of true justice, and decided she would rather die in the face of evil than be looked upon with dignity of a junkyard dog that has to eat its own vomit. . . .and the sunlight forever glowed. And it was so. . . all because FREEDOM DECLARED, "It's Time!!!"
