Within the pre-universe void

She lay dormant, a continuum of nothing,

And the span of her nothingness was immeasurable,

For even she did not exist.

Yet she was the measurer,

Stillborn and untried,

Impotent, frozen, and inert.

At her emergence, a stirring.

The first event, the alpha.

And she became the silent and intangible force

That has no master and no end.

Unerringly consistent, infallible.

Undisturbed by cycles, ages, or occurrences.

Merciless and emotionless, she keeps the engravings

Of history yet made.

Yes! Yes! Time is a woman, not a man as most picture him.... You have painted her perfectly, undeterred, complete and unchangeable; the beginning and the end. Excellent piece, Michael.

Peace. Joyce

Wonderful, and even somehow... chilling. Time, so emotionless, so unstoppable.
