Workin' and sweatin'
For every dime
No social life
Don't have the time
Wonder what I'm
Workin' for
Uncle Sam takes out
Then wants MORE

Every day I'm up
At five
Strugglin' to
Just stay alive
Workin' hard
From six to four
To feed three kids
Expectin' one more

The wife she's
Workin' too
Stayin' afloat
Is all we can do
There has to
Be a better way
To make a livin'
Earn your pay

Wonder what I'm
Workin' for
Uncle Sam takes out
Then wants MORE

I can relate, but I don't have to punch a clock
When I get there, I get there, but I'm always
there. Always many different places and people
in my line of work.
Thanks for sharing my friend....

Whatever country one is in, one finds the government bleeds one dry. But the American tax system is a hell of a lot kinder to the worker than the British one...of that I can assure you.

Nice write once again Linda

So true, Linda. Wonderful write! (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( (Try working at a place where most of the workers in the back don't speak English. NOT fun. They want me to learn Spanish; I tell them, "No. You live in MY country; you speak English, or I won't talk to you!" And it's TRUE! Nothing makes me MADDER than that!!)

wonderful Linda
you hit the nail on the head with this one
working to stay just above the drowning line
is an never ending story
facts of life,
unless one is born with a silver spoon.
