Lavender tears
in a world black and white
fill oceans pallid, gray,
and days of dark midnight.
Pastel mem’ries
are only in our dreams.
The fog wallows
dense, pressing at the seams;
reels of yesterday ream.

Purely serene …
just lavender remained.
All other colors fled
when the world went insane.
Conveniently
ev’rything can be changed.
Weep lavender …
madness will be derailed …
and love will come in range.

Lavender tears
in a world black and white
seep melancholily
often hidden from sight.
Pastel mem’ries
peep at reality.
Bright light pierces—
wounds darkness fatally—
gives us infinity …

lavender.

This is an excellent approach to the end of evil upon Christ's return... at least, I hope that was your intent, for it surely fits. Well done, Sandra! ~~Bonnie Q
