Someone

I glance across at you and meet your eye
And in a split second I see that tell-tale sign
It's obvious that you're hunting for love
And the heart that you are after is mine.

No doubt, I can see the sun in your eyes
But can't you see the rain here in mine?
I know you're here looking for love
But I hate to say you are just out of time.

I've been hurt so many times in the past
That long before my heart slammed its doors,
Fed up of being discarded in pieces
It stopped love calling here anymore.

My soul was sick of being traded,
Swapped in for a second of bittersweet joy
Then left in the cold without shelter
So it turned from the hope of loving another boy.

Before you murmur those sweet words
That you have the cure for what I suffer from
Many others have tried to heal me
Only to find the words they said were wrong.

The seasons may blend then change
But my feelings are written so deep in stone
They can never rearrange once again
With each day it's clearer I'll live my life alone.

So if I was you I'd turn your heart away
And stop listening to the lies that it's telling you,
Try to find someone that you deserve,
Someone who's belief in love is still strong and true .

Life is most definitely a journey of discovery and you cannot possibly know what is around the next corner. Live each day as it comes but do not raise your expectations. But I can assure you that just when you think that all is lost, something will jump up and bite your nose and prove to you that you do not know everything. You have to open your heart and believe in it.

My favourite saying is VERY relevamnt here.

Cherish your dreams and they will become true. They are the one thing in life that nobody can take away from you

I suppose you want it to be, but Keighley, this is so sad. Free advice, worth what it costs: There are three billion boys out there. You can't possibly have culled them all. Set your filter on high but keep your eyes open.
Best regards,
Leland
