Do it make any sense to go way out and spend billions of dollars on a trip of chance?

way out
in the stars,
an earth sats
unconquered within,
on goes exploring a red
planet Mars. Exploration
of the unknown, reaching out to
worlds far gone, nations on earth
perish prone. Fighting wars against
terrorism, those dark of soul in evilism,
up against a total annihilism.

Soldiers needing,
can't even trip completely home,
after dying and bleeding.
Veterans left out in the cold,
no funds, benefits cut,
signs of a f'd up loss to grip hold.
Monetary buget fiascos,
not enough teachers and police,
cutting everything short flows.

Billions of dollars                  wasted on a ship,
space product                                    might go blip,
destroyed on                                             a way out trip.
A wise existence might wait,
exploring unnecessary
later, remain within
its own world state,
not letting
way out

You have launched a wonderful word space shuttle..GREAT writing, Grady!

Grady, this is AWESOME: not only have you crafted a wonderful poem full of truism but you literally painted a picture with words in the shape of a space ship. AWESOME, GUY! Space, what a waste: we have 35,000,000 million people going hungry in this nation alone and we spend billions on space! ~~Bonnie Q

My dear friend...this is superb! Even the shape of
your writing is amazing. I have always thought the
$180 million dollar Rover they made to go to Mar's
could have been spent feeding the hungry, helping
the homeless...curing a disease....it could have gone
so far. More than excellent write, Grady. This is
truly awesome.

Love 'n Peace,
*Linda*

I'm still amazed at the shape! Need a second to let the content sink in. Okay... excellent job, bringing up important thoughts to ponder. (did you hear what Kucinich said about the trip)

I love exploring other galaxies,I'm always looking at the stars, but I almost wrote a similar poem, Grady. Getting cozy on a planet with a bunch of stones, while we have so many starving babies in our midst, and homeless, among other things, is wrong .Hungry people should come first. I know many say they will always be with us, but that's not legit.Priorties in this Nation have always been out of order! One of the problems we never deal with, properly.

love the way you did this, grady; excellent message and form! you keep on getting better too, with your writes! no, we DON'T need to send men to mars; we need to be taking care of OUR people FIRST!!!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in tx., karen lynn. :( >tears <
