I did this sketch for a good friend. Kind a give me the hebie-jebies doing it though.
Thanks to all you wonderful poets here who read and comment.

Lives are like speeding flat rocks skipping across some pond
screaming to land on the other side, never knowing
what is in the abyss**Going here and there, never going
anywhere**Always skimming off the top, never tasting the fruit

What is up with soul saving attitude within collectables, careers, and wealth?

Life must be cherished with a sincere admiration for zeal to live, love, and give

A huge peace of intricate gold will not cross over into the realm
Only those spirits of a God who gave them life will know the
reality of the other side.

Live, love and give, life is too short to be frowned upon. Keep the savior foremost in your mind though, and do the right things and scare the devil away. Don't need him in your life, but he keeps trying, doesn't he?

I love dark art, Ron! And your piece matches with its lack of peace, most people are living little deaths everyday striving for material needs instead of spiritual. :)

Great sketch! Your poem equals it in the opposite of its meaning. The balance of beauty and evil. The sketch being evil, and the poem being beauty. Your words are inspirational! This is a gem of a write!
