I was in a hurry
or in one of my moods
My hands were full

trying to put the dirty
dishes in the sink
My favorite wine glass

the delicate hand
carved crystal one
from our trip to Waterford

I knew I should not
place it there
but I did

bumping my hand
against it and still
having time to catch it

but wondering still
if the fall would break it

i remember this one from wbyme ... and am struck, once again by the precarious nature of the object on the brink in direct relationship to emotions of the same sort ... and the "what if" if it fell, would it break scenario ... so often we wonder this.

I would clear up some of the filters and maybe put this in a very short poem with a few subtle word choices that hint towards something deeper. But other than that, it's quite excellent.
