Apparently, in my absence, I became prolific! Have to nab these things when they pop into my head.. else, they end up interfering with my other thoughts and then where would I be? Laughing is allowed? I shamelessly invite it. (grin)

I was born a babe.
Alas, it seems,
That was just a phase.

My midriff doth not show
When teasing a new beau
I do not do "come hither" stares
It's hard to catch men
Without my bifocals
I'd run into chairs
So what once were ogles
Are now just glares.

But with age comes wisdom
And if that be the case
Instead of sexy
It's brilliance you'll embrace!

God Katy, I just read four of your in a row (trying to catch up). I can't handle any more right now. Four winners...totally flawless. How do you do it. I need the formula.

If 'babe' is short for baby, then we were all, including me, babes when we were born. I'm trying to banish the thought.

A delightful poem is right, Katy. A fun read. In my current post I joked about putting 2x glasses on my sweetie to enhance her image of me. Maybe you could pick a magnification or color (rose?) of your own choice. LOL And truly, brilliance (and other charming adjectives) is what we get with you, babe.
Best regards,

Katy, I can't decide if I like your poem or your quote better. Both are delightful!
