The cutest little Rudolph nose,
pink as pink and a million toes
it seems, adorn each paw.
She’s a kitten..."look what I saw!"
She runs around in circles, nothing in front,
nothing behind, whatever she sees -
all in her mind...this little imp.
A full grown beauty she’ll come to be,
but until then, can you not see...
this little angel’s graced this house;
rangs like a monkey and scampers like a mouse.
She naps here and there as the day pushes on,
she’s up all night...nocturnal, sun’s gone.
Awakened in the morning, a soft purr
around my face, upon my cheek her little
tongue seems to favor the softest spot on my skin...
Her little head butts the tip of my chin!
She checks out the blankets and tries to climb in,
to comfort me I’m sure...this little kitten -
always wants more.
And if you try to walk by and pretend she’s not there,
she thinks she’s a squirrel and can fly through the air...
just so she can get closer to you faster;
even if it means a bump on the plaster.
She runs through the kitchen, chases ‘Bastian round it’s bend -
Oooops, there’s big, black BJ...best to keep him as your friend.
You see, BJ’s been around for many a year,
but Sorcha thinks it’s abundantly clear, that he’s just
too old to have much fun...he tries, he’s merely too heavy -
ten plus three...
there’s little Sorcha, Sebastian
my ol’ BJ and me.
