All stands still, it has, always will,
Ďtis timesí solemn mortuary.
Lighting has changed,
itís time to go
on a road long, twisted, side-winding.
Itís cool to hear the mocking bird,
in my head replay Holy words,
savor the scent, sweet evergreen,
enroute to a new land Ö unseen.

All stands still, it has, always will,
Ďtis timesí solemn mortuary.
The breeze whispers,
calling so low,
Ready, didnít hear my named called
so I hung on Ö didnít let go.
So amused, He just let me be,
remarkably, on my own Ö
wanting to see how I was prone.

All stands still, it has, always will,
Ďtis timesí solemn mortuary.
Dust falls, covers,
Deathsí dressing gown.
Evíryone extends their smiles, hands,
and I cannot refuse a one
until Iím down, my deeds all done.
Wrinkles are spreading, Iím weary.
It seems Iím hearing more clearly.

All stands still, it has, always will,
Ďtis timesí solemn mortuary.
The light has changed Ö
Iím moving on.
