Don't Ask and I Won't Have to Lie
by Beverly Mahone

We know LYING is wrong BUT—lying happens sometimes when it comes to what we will or will not reveal to other people—-or our own denial about who we really are…… ..

And when she left me,
I remember:
The day turned cloudy,
The day turned gray,
The day turned cold
And drear,
Dread crept through my being,
Death I felt loom near;

In my life, since that day
In bleakest bare December,
My soul knows not surprise
Nor even simple joy.

My sun had left its orbit,
Gone nova,
My soul sucked into
A black hole of despair.

Jerry,
Perfectly placed "I remember:
The day turned cloudy,
The day turned gray,
The day turned cold
And drear,
Dread crept through my being,
Death I felt loom near;"
Keep writing

It hurts to loose someone that you love. Great capture of this pain.
