Thought I saw the boogieman!
I did, I did!
He had a forked tail and is all red.
Mean old devil,
trying to spread his evil.
Influencing people to be bad,
causing many to be sad.

Take this prayer you old devil,
God will deal with your evil.
Sooner or later He's going to get you,
then away goes your boo.
You'll be destroyed forever,
so much for your evil endeavor.

Have your fun while you can,
but you'll never totally destroy man.
Your power is limited,
even if your evil deeds are unlimited.
I thought I saw a boogieman,
I did, I did,
but I didn't let him get in my head.
