Lunar Love

Up in the sky sits the man in the moon
a sliver of what he once was...
And always and ever just off to his side,
Is Venus - his companion, his Love.
The two shine their starfire across the great sky,
in grey and silver hues, lunar mist,
They have endured in the heavens for great eons passed,
a great highway which their glimmer has kissed.
And as I walk down this highway of light...
I watch for the rest of the stars on this night,
Forever I'll dream on the shores of this sea...
The man in the moon and his Love, they know me.
