Remembering the proud marches of the Chelsea Pensioners...remnant heroes of the Somme..Ypres...etc....
auld warriors...soon no more..

Out o' step.

auld men a-marching
out o’ step
celebrating long dead comrades.

weeping for long forgotten memories
as lost as history itself.

auld women keening the memories
o’ young dead sons lost tae war.

auld fearing man on mountain pass
weepin’ tears for missing sons
wha died a firey death....
screaming tae the cold thin sky.

steel heart man in shiny death sheath
dropping scientific excrement
upon thy fellow creatures
in the shallow name o’ patriotism.

read thy holy book... o’ westryn man,
like leaves in Autumn’s swirlin’ dance
thy action might be thy last,
for ye might niver hae the chance
tae march..
out o’ step.

Graham...
