Why isn't the world dancing with me?
There's such beautiful music playing.
They all just stare at me,
And I know what they're saying.
They say, "Why is she so happy?"
Why isn't the world laughing with me?
When everything seems so funny.
They all just stare at me,
They don't see that it's so sunny.
They say, "Why is she so happy?"
Why isn't the world singing with me?
When everybody has their own song.
They all just stare at me,
They just don't think I belong.
They say, "Why is she so happy?"
Why isn't the world smiling with me?
Nothing bad can happen today.
They all just stare at me,
I put their boring lives in disarray.
They say, "Why is she so happy?"
Why am I so happy?

You surely have me thinking with these verses, Kacie. I don't know how I missed this one before. Time sure does fly. For some reason, I can never read your poems just once. There's always more to "get." Thank you. Love and best wishes to you,

This is a different kind of poem for you kaci, but I like it alot. It's hard to be so happy when everyone else is so sad...
