No One Listens Anymore…

Shhh…
I’m trying to tell you something,
But speaking was always hard,
There was always too many people talking,
And no one listens anymore…

Listen,
I’m trying to tell you something,
But my voice is too soft,
And you are always talking…

Hush love,
My heart is breaking,
My tears are drowning me,
And I need someone to listen,
But you are speaking when I am,
And not hearing a word I say…

The world’s gone too quiet,
I can’t hear anything,
What happened to the birds?
Why aren’t they singing?

I’m trying to tell you something,
But I keep losing my train of thought,
My voice has left me,
And my pen has run out of ink…

I tried and tried,
But it’s over now,
I’ve gone quiet again,
The pain inside is eating me alive,
But that’s okay,
It didn’t matter anyway,

Cause no one listens anymore,
And I’ve shut the door…

the sad part, is that this is true. Takes a wonderful piece of work like this to jolt us into realising it.

It is so sad when we cry out only to have no one listen, or so it seems. God always listens, but sometimes, it does not seem that He is enough to solve the worldly shame that we often feel, even though, it's true that He does hear.
Take care.
Great write.
