September eleven changed the world. Somali children are hit hardest.

Fourteen years ago today
Hell broke out in Somalia
A military regime was removed
A leadership vacuum was created

In the middle of the shooting
An unlucky orphan was born
My Dad lost his precious life
Before I vacated mother’s womb

A murderer shot him dead
Dad's death made me cry in the womb
I am an orphan. I am without a father.
Justice has collapsed at the corridors of anarchy

Mom raised me single-handedly for six years
A Moslem charity then came to my rescue
I joined an orphanage center free of charge
Food plenty, shelter plenty, education plenty

Three years later ominous winds started to blow
The center was accused of a link with Al-Qaeda
Though resisted, the school was forcefully closed
My flame of hope has thus been put off

I am now back to Mom’s house
I am back to square one
The tunnel is dark at both sides
I am lost between the tussle of two evils

Do I deserve this?
Why am I out of school?
Why is my future destroyed?
Justice has collapsed at the corridors of this cruel world.

Abdi-Noor, I know this is not you. Are you writing in the first person for an actual person, have you seen it happen to children, or have you read about it and made up a story to get a point across? War certainly does hurt people. I'm sorry things like this happen, especially when they happen to innocent children. Thank you for sharing your story.

Abdi, I hope that is not the way it is for you today! The terrible injustices of life visited upon the most innocent people is the norm in this world ,only in the next will there be justice. In the meantime we can hope and pray for God to deliver you from circumstances beyond your control to those that will enable you to have a better life. He will do this if enough prayer is said to show the intent is meaningful and the belief that it can be obtained is there.I will pray with you, about it.

Abdi, thank you for making me think. Your poem sent my thoughts on a different route than the previous reviewers. Instead of asking what YOU should do to accept this injustice, I'm asking myself what I should do to stop it. How can I get under the problem to prevent the collapse?

..life's scenarios are many and varied..why some lives seem to be destroyed even before they begin is a mystery to many..perhaps the answer lies in a hidden crevise of your soul..WHY.. is a word that sends many a faithful servant down the path of injstice..remember ..this is only the THIRD dimension ..alas evil runs rapant here..the trick is to LOVE amidts strife...hmm..who said it was easy?..Chin up..hope brings forth victory..as a matter of fact she carries her..embraces her..await victory..yet whilst you wait..live the light that you are..
Touching write..TY!
