One of the unfortunate things about me is that as an artist, author, craftsman and lover of life, I have tended to be attracted to things on the side of the road people have thrown away. Of course being poor necessitated that also. Anyway, my garage has gotten so cluttered it is usless as a garage, thus prompting this poem. this poem is one of 30 from my book Acorns of Love and Wisdom that are posted by on my page here at Author's Den. Most are love poems

What confusion it is
To be a collector
In a living world
Where all things
Appear unique and desirable

I should declare
The world
My treasure chest
And leave things be
Until I take a walk
And examine my collection
