Carefully lick my pencil point
Pot of coffee piping hot
Threaten death throughout the joint
If silent they are not!

Now then, I enter every number
Add, subtract, (my tongue sticks out)
Cobwebs hard to unemcumber
Lace around my brain. I shout:

"What the hell does this one mean?"
(Don't say a word… she's become obscene!")
Terror grips. I want some green.
I settle down. I scratch my bean.

Aha! The ever-illusive bulb
Begins to light. From ear to ear
The smile they watch for comes again:
"The refund's great again this year!"

Glad I got my taxes done; am waiting for my refund now! Should have it by next week or the week after; with it, I get to pay a book bill...nearly $200 worth! YAY! WHAT FUN! NOT!! (at least, I'll have a LITTLE--very little--left over after I pay my bill; but that Hummer has GOT to be paid..and the sooner I pay it, the better I'll feel! Then I am canceling my book club membership; what a crock of shit! LOL)

Great write, and glad to hear you are gettin' some green, too! JAYSUS, aren't taxes a PAIN?? :(
