Slapping, flapping heard
on windy day so cold,
as flags whip into a frenzy
and trees bend so near,
as if trying to catch
the wind's whispering
or golden rays which promised
a warmth,
not felt for a season,
as hardwoods, unclothed, with
trembling limbs
shivered with each icy blast,
that rattled windowpanes
with gusty breaths,
this windswept day so full
of power,
carries along wandering desires
and age old dreams,
for its memories tossed about
like dried up leaves.

This is a very descriptive poem. I'm reading it on a blusery day, so it's an appropriate poem
