Political Poetry...reviewed not,
by Ed Matlack

Hard to figure what will be reviewed and not...

political poetry…reviewed not,

apparently political writes,

are not what is politically right,

with regards reviews by the ad writers,

both left & right, but I might,

be able to understand,

as I guess it is hard to take a stand,

when some are from other lands…

So I just guess when something is not reviewed,

even once, twice or thrice,

it is not interesting enough or does not entice…    (ed)

Franz: Nice irony
If it doesn't rub people up the wrong way, or at least make them sit up and think about something, then poetry it is not.
Sentimental passive rhyme may be ok for the greetings card trade, but poetry is the language of the dissident and the revolutionary. good write Franz

Strangely enough my political poetry are the most reviewed. It's the spiritual posts that usually draw mixed feelings...
Thought provoking write!

it all depends on how the political slant is delivered ...

You never know. Before I took my absence from AD last May, there were several who touched on the world of politics... both left and right, including myself. Some could not handle the views of others, and were, in my opinion often rude. Personally, I don't care if my politics are popular or not... lol.
