Who then is free? The wise man who can command himself....Horace

We are vessel, we are shell
Mere casings were our spirit dwells
Like tranquil waters of the pond
Hide depths.... yet speculated on

We are seeds, awaiting birth
Whipped by the wind and natures mirth
Warmed by the sun, and kissed by rains
Or dried as husk....neath solar bane

We are star lite, meant to guide
When ways are lost...or marred by lies
We are the road, the path of times
Both paved, and dust...unmarked and signed

We are the storms, upon our seas
We are the winds, the gales and breeze
We are the rivers, we are the brine
At points where fresh and salt entwine

We have limits, we have expanse
We have abundance, choice, and chance
We have freedom, we have thought
Beliefs and judgments, sought and taught

We are free will
To live our lives...and be fulfilled
The choice is right within our hands
As grains of sand

This is fantastic,i love to rush along when reading something that keeps to the same tempo, meter whatever...this has this and does this and this to me is a very exceptional, special poem... i love writing, i'd be dead without a pen or the means to convey what i think most times, and to read something along the same lines of what one is thinking is very spoky to say the least...but you always had my attention anyway...take care...Mark xx

My friend Lady A
This is, beyond doubt, a favorite of your works for me.
Speaks clearly to my beliefs--and sooo lilting. I will post this for myself somewhere where I can see it each day for awhile.
Thank you. Vicky
