Running from door to door
Every one of them closed

Going from road to road
Finding nothing but dead ends

Has society turned its back on me?
Giving me no hope

Leaving me out in the cold
Somewhere in the dark

Pushing me aside
Like a undesirable plate of food

Turning me into yet another number
That just keeps getting bigger

Holding on to my last drop of hope
Which that too will come to an end

Linda, you (or your character) have had a rough life that you've brought to brilliant view.

Linda, most of us feel this way at some time. I turn to God to see me through these times. It has been a while since you wrote this, so I hope everything looks much better now. Hugs, Joyce

Humanity does tend to let us down, from time to time, but look for the positive and it can change your entire perspective around.

The lines flow remarkably well up until the very last one, which I would consider reading carefully, something seems grammatically...wrong. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. But I love the way each line pulls you like a rubber band upon which you snap at the last word and rebound into the next line. Well done.

Know the feeling! Great write.

Things do have a tendency to improve just as we think we are on our last breath. Keep the faith.
