there, waiting

admittedly,
       i struggle
               and kick
                        every time
                             we go up
                                              another level.

i tell you
         there are
                no more
                       walls
                                       no barriers
                                              between us.

you realize
           i've merely
                      refashioned
                          the walls
                                to form
                                                  a brick ceiling.

i am
               perfectly
                          willing
                                    to keep
                                                this love
                                                            at bedrock.

you keep
                pushing me
                           to the top
                                     where we
                                               can truly
                                                              shine.

i both
         hate
                    and love
                             the way
                                       you prod
                                               and shove.

soon
           i'll know
                      what it's
                            like to
                                       really be
                                                   on top.

groundwork
                forever
                         in place
                                   i will
                                                 climb now
                                                                to the roof

I love your poems becuase they are cerebral and they require a certain degree of zoe immersion but one can look at the end and see you there waiting for a cycle of wave of your writings for the cycle has just begun and its ready to be complete. I suspect a certain stream of consciousness here

Be careful of the cross winds! I like the reference to the walls becoming the ceiling. Very cleaver. Hope your climb is a successful one...actually knowing you, it will be.

This I like. It is nicely composed and is a treat both in reading and visually.

Climb, girl...

This poem's form and words show a confidence that comes to a
climax in the last portion. Great work!
