Forgotten Corner Of The World

Somewhere I hear a baby cry
Sick and just waiting to die
Mommy's left her all alone
All hope of surviving gone
Tears of a precious baby girl
In a forgotten corner of the world

***********************************

A man sits on a cold hard floor
No one knocks on his front door
No ringing of the telephone
All trace of his family gone
His life and endless,useless whirl
In a forgotten corner of the world

**********************************

Children starving in the street
Mothers crying in defeat
People turning off their TV
Blocking out what they don't want to see
Haunted eyes with uncombed curls
In a forgotten corner of the world
