Sapphire Night

I touch my finger to the moon and

write you a love letter in the sky

on this deep sapphire night

Curly q’s of endearments with the

promise of endless nights of love-

drift above in the sky on this sapphire

Do you remember how you delicately

held me and declared your love in a

little corner of this great big world on

that sapphire night

Did I ever tell you that a satiny feeling

came over me and when our eyes met

in the moonbeams candlelight, I felt so

I could barely focus

I trembled

You held me tighter

I could feel the adoration in your chest

I could just about hear the dreamy smile

on your face

I knew it was love from

the way you held me on that sapphire night

You kissed me softly, then at my weakest

moment you deepened the kiss and took

me on an incredible ride -

out there...

to nowhere

and absorbed me on that sapphire night

I miss you so very much, and I can’t

wait till you come home to me and hold

me like you did when you told me your most

deepest feelings on that sapphire night

In closing, I’ll feather the tip of this last

curly-q as a sign of my love

I’ll blow you a kiss and in the gentle gust

will be all my love and these words...

written in the sky on this sapphire night

I love you…

OH, joy! Sigh, finally I have some time to myself to just read... imagine how wonderful it was to get to this glorious poem of yours, Marilyn. The perspective, the imagery did lovely things to my head. I could see that tiny finger touching that huge moon and could feel deeply the building of this togetherness. With the sky and moon as backdrop, the romance here was gentle and moving. I loved the 'curly q's" in the midst of the stronger feelings. Clever, romantic and simply lovely. katy xox.

A sapphire night to match the stars in your eyes. Oh Marilyn - what a sweet and gentle and yet so pasionate poem. You now write for the stars. Your words soar in the heavens and you capitivate those who read your lines. What a tremendous poet you are. You are achieving the promise you showed in the very beginning. Your friend Bill
