This poem is reflective of a step I'm considering taking in my life. It's like since the pain has started to lessen, I've begun to see the lesson.

all the things you did to forget me
and all i did to remember you
they're fading now
into the mists of the past
but the burden is heavy anew

all the lies i told myself to survive
all the dreams that we both laid to rest
they're crumbling now
into the rubble of truth
perhaps it's for the best

maybe you weren't man enough for me then
maybe you aren't man enough for me now
maybe what you needed is a tyrant
i wasn't then and i'm not that now

all the days i waited for one word
all the nights that i looked for your face
and all the beliefs
that i once had about love
and its unfailing grace

:: laughter ::

all my illusions shattered to billions
of shards of grains of granules of blue glass
and all i can do
is keep walking the path of my fate
and hope my strength will last

maybe i wasn't woman enough for you then
maybe i'm still not woman enough now
maybe what i needed was a giant
my heart was big then and it's even bigger now

all my love may be too much for one man
romantic trifles metaphors for the world
a planet of people
in need of the shelter of love
while the winds of hate whirl

all these lessons you've taught me i thank you
all of you who've borrowed me from God
if i see you again
you deserve no more and no less
than a respectful nod

maybe i am too much woman for mortal men
maybe i can live the Goddess on Earth now
maybe i can change the world to one less violent
i touched your hearts then
maybe i can touch their's now

There's lots of doubts still lingering in this poem. Leaves one to ponder about the effect of its last stanza.

Above is just my 2 cents of opinion.
