In the Rapids
In the rapids we will find our delight
In the rapids shining oh so bright
In the turbulence and overload
Down a long and watery road
Through the turmoil and white spray
We ride on and find our way
Our road is the river in the forest
Hand in hand we do our best
Our love means so very much
And we never loose touch
And in the rapids we will live
In the rapids we will give
A purple haze surrounds our eyes
We pick a watery disguise
And through our ingenuity
We fight for self-sufficiency
And the sun casts its long shadow
Eluding dark from well below
We endeavour to enhance
The waters’ sprightly dance
And in the rapids we will live
In the rapids we will give
Above us birds are flying
And around us leaves are lying
The demon waits outside his lair
But dies from the neon glare
Silence comes down all around
And finds us asleep on the ground
But when the daylight comes
We must continue, carry on
And in the rapids we will live
In the rapids we will give
And in the rapids we will sail away
In the rapids every night and day
