How can I forget the look in your eye?
As you in pain ridden silence, watched
the seraphim’s dance in a yellow sky.
What can I say to ease the burdens you bare?
And how can I truly convince you that I care?
Yet, still in silence… you stare
beneath a yellow sky so fair.
So pray tell what evil is this,
that has destroyed your happiness
And how can I, as simple as I am
compete with angels that dance
in a yellow sky?
If my heart which holds the love that I have for you,
Were to fall to the ground from its gaping wound
If it were to lie there, sputter and die,
Would you then share but one glance from your yellow sky?
I wonder if I will truly ever know,
What visions that your eyes behold.
I ponder the thoughts of you and me,
And I surrender it all to your yellow sea.
So goodbye my fair maiden
for it is now time,
That I leave you in your silence,
beneath the yellow sky.
