~ Dark Presents ~

Dark Presents follows everywhere, black as coal be he,
Hide'n in broad daylight, out of sight he be.
Blow'n with the dark cold, chafe'n faces, cause'n pain,
Fix'n a blow down your way, Dark Presents come’n again.

Cause'n trouble, hurt'n folks, pretend'n he's not there,
There ain't no truth believe'n it, his evil's everywhere.
Stir'n up the times of unsuspect'n happiness,
Cast'n sorrow or'e the lot, laugh'n at his mess.

Make'n life a struggle, break'n hearts, poisen'n minds,
Break'n in, break'n up, break'n down the strongest kind.
Dark Presents seeps like quiet smoke, across the scummy swamp,
Sneak’n into dreams at night, decide’n which he’ll stomp.

He don’t care, nor will he show you mercy when you cry.
Some folks been followed round by him, till the day they died.
You can’t run, can’t even hide, there’s no place he can’t find,
Rearrange’n your life, leave'n “Dark Present's” behind .
