Not being perfect,
means there's quite
a bit to correct.
We're all imperfect beings,
requiring adjustments
on many things.
Some of us don't
mind admitting,
others have
problems submitting.
Being imperfect means
prone to mistakes,
possibly mental
 out breaks.

Not facing our
weak points,
weakens our
strong joints.
If you don't know
whats weak,
you might not be able
to stop the leak,
then you may
totally break.
Living in denial,
may put us
in the jury trial.
Judged by
twelve others,
not to mention our
sisters and brothers.

For years my
weaknesses scared me,
sometimes they
even dared me.
"Face up,
this part of you
is corrupt.
Running from
this fraction,
is only a
temporary satisfaction.
We'll never
go away,
I'll haunt you
till your last day."

One day I looked the
fool right in the eye,
then understood why.
After facing up to my
not so good side,
to myself I had
nothing else to hide,
along came a
smoother ride.
Looking in the mirror,
no longer makes
me feel inferior.

We all have a right,
to keep our weaknesses
in our own sight.
Others might
not understand,
our weakside
in hand,
it is to our advantage
 be familiar with
its demand.
Being human in form,
sets us up^
to much harm.
This is the
true norm.
We either circle
the wagons and fight,
join our weaknesses
and strengths
in might,
eventually disappear
from sight.

I prefer to go on,
regardless of weakness,
acting upon.

Grady, great poem! It shows strength of character and good choices. Nicely written. We all have weaknesses, but it takes a strong person to face them and keep them under control.
