50/50 Love
By Handsum-Hart

During the difficult days
When 50/50 love is impossible
Rewrite this equation
To 60/40 or 70/30
Or whatever it need be

But let the man stand tall
And be the stronger giver of love

May God greatly bless
Every man in the world
Standing tall in love’s honor
And if it be God’s will
Let heaven be their reward

There is no such thing as 50/50 love, Handsum. It's 100/100 or nothing. This has some current running through it.

A well expressed poem about a worthy ideal, Ronnie...
but, sad to say, in today's world...too many men are
just a "legend in their mind."

Amen and wonderful write. The equation of love has to have some balance for it to survive in this day and age where marriage is a 50/50 gamble ending in divorce.

I agree that the balance can't always be 50/50. Sometimes, one is stronger than the other. Wonderful thoughts here.

That's excellent advice. You're also right about the percentage of give and take...a perfect 50/50 is improbable.

Very well done, Hart.
