Dark Susceptibilities...

More depression sickness, more scary, painful thoughts, more violence, from the very "OD" of ED...

Dark Susceptibilities…

What do we see in the dark?

What is there in the light, so we are told,

But sit at home and be down,

And see what you see around every corner,

Demons of the night, those that make you fright,

Creatures from within, those that bring out sin,

Crazy thoughts of rape, murder and mayhem,

Ideologies of hate, death and bestiality,

Molestation, seduction, sexual control, & torture,

All brought on by the dark and depression so stark…

I am asked why I hide in my home, never to roam,

When these feelings I have, these depressive moments,

Just for the reasons related above, to keep myself on a chain,

A chain of my own making, a prison cell in my home,

Better here than to be found elsewhere slain,

Killed by one who found me doing to others that which I cannot,

To hurt, to inflict pain, to desire the forbidden fruit,

That is the depression I suffer from at this time,

I cannot in good memory of another life,

Ever and again cross that line,

For to do so would be for me like that of a drug,

Such an addiction, one that could make me seek death,

Rather than continue down that road of pain seeking to take others breathe,

Please, oh please, pills that I take, please take effect fast,

So I can just make it thru this night of darkness, with little fear…
