T’was long ago under soft moonlight
in the garden where Jesus prayed .

That his scared heart was torn apart
For he knew he would be betrayed .

Jesus wept as his friends slept ,
in the silence he heard his beating heart .

The soldiers approached and surrounded him there
as Judas played his part .

Not a word did he speak as a kiss touched his cheek
Judas went his way .

The time had come for Gods only son to suffer,
On Holy Thursday .
