Without my deeper thoughts, my humor tends to allow me this time to "wax" philosophical, rather than poetic, to a degree...

Deeper Thoughts, Of Late…

What brings on my thoughts so deep?

Even when I seemingly do sleep,

I dream in a realm of darkness when asleep,

Sometimes so fearful it does seep,

Into my waking life, sometimes so beat…

To have memories of those thoughts of sleep,

A self of deep thoughts, the only time I seem to know,

What I mean when I write these poems, although,

 Sometimes they just flow out,

Why, how or where they come from, I know not,

Out they flow, just like a river from my soul,

And you are left with deciphering their role…

Philosophical I seem to wax herein, not so much poetic,

I am able to express my inner most thoughts, so hectic,

I sometimes wish I could just park my home on an island,

An island of bone, and feel the thoughts emanating from,

The bones of the past, feelings and thoughts from their last…

Herein again, I am lost in thought, able sometimes to express,

Others I can barely keep from laughing or crying or just being,

So allow me to ramble on fellow writers of great seeing,

For without this part of me to flow,

My humor may dissipate, not to anymore grow…

Deep thoughts are okay. They give you a better perspective. Good one on thoughts.
