Without hope we are lost,
Wander amidst our self made hells,
Choose between fire and steel,
Keeping score in tally lines
We carve deeply into our hearts…

Without hope,
We fall into that dark abyss,
Wondering if we shall ever feel
Love’s first kiss…

We lean into the night,
Lose our will to fight,
Let despair settle over us,
As we learn not to trust…

Scream into the night,
That life is not fair,
Yet in the end just don’t care-
Who told you what had to be right?

Traveling into tomorrow,
With no where to go,
Looking back into the past,
But its face is carved in glass,

Opaque like my dreams,
The ones that make me scream,
I laugh inside until I cry,
Without hope I am doomed to die…

In the end,
I just don’t care,
If life is fair-
All I wanted was you my friend,
But you are never there…

sometimes, at all times perhaps, you've got to let these feelings go...let them out into the light of day for examination and contemplation...and then, move on into what is promised to us all...for god is, truly, love...a wonderful, thoughtful write, poet.

Hope, and spiritual is what we need to lean on. You're right, friends sometimes will fail us. On the other hand: friends don't fail us. Those who do, aren't true friends.
