Circum-Navigating, in my Minds Eye, Part III

Traveled approx 3,000 miles so far, keeping this log up to date is sometimes hard, but thankfully we have a SAT phone connection, we will need it when in the middle of the Pacific we get later on in our trip...

Circum-navigating, in my Minds Eye, Part III…

Seattle, Washington, a city of beauty,

One minor drawback for me, also a city of wet,

For they seem to acquire more fluid than does anyone,

In the continental United States, yes, rain is what they get…

That picture there, taken from the bow of the Rene’ Lyn,

Rufuz did take it, not bad for his first time with a camera,

His paw’s not meant to hold things; has trouble with focus,

Bear with him, he is still young, he will get it yet,

The skyline, and a few larger boats,

All docked near where we will do so; yes we are still afloat…

No small marina this, diesel fuel for sale, boy do we need it,

The owner says we can get away with the cheap stuff,

The off-road diesel, but no, I want the best,

Don’t mean to sound gruff,

With the best, the filters don’t need cleaning every so often,

So it costs a bit more,

I am not traveling the world worrying what I spend…

Vancouver, the next big town north, Canadian side of border,

On our way out of the sound,

Will take the scenic route for a bit,

To watch the whales & seals frolic, if any can be found,

Rufuz will get some good pictures I hope,

And we will keep enjoying out trip,

As long as Ed can deal with the loneliness, but he will cope…

(our next port of call, will most likely be Anchorage, Alaska)
